How to Turn PowerPoint Slides Into Useful Notes

Before exporting, check:

  • whether hidden slides should be included
  • whether speaker notes are part of the permitted material
  • whether builds or animations reveal a sequence

Export a readable PDF and open it locally. Confirm that labels, equations, charts, and small text remain legible.

AI can draft structure and prose, but it cannot recover information that was never present in the exported file. Compare the note with the PDF and check:

  • names, dates, formulas, units, and technical terms
  • arrows, axes, legends, and labels in diagrams
  • whether a slide states a fact, example, hypothesis, or criticism
  • whether an animation's order was flattened
  • whether an abbreviation was expanded correctly
